The Balthali village is the perfect place to see panoramic views of snow peaked Himalayan mountains. A three hour drive will take you to the famous pilgrimage site called Namo Buddha, where the beautiful big monastery is sited. (Lord Buddha offered his body to the hungry tigress in this place) Just a two hour walk will enable you to reach the beautiful Balthali village. It is here where you will stay in one of the lovely tea houses, and the following day, you will walk for two hours, through the green valley view trail to the historic town called Panauti. Panauti is very popular for the Newari settlement and for the beautiful old temples.
